In life, business, and everything in between, your blind spot can be a lot of different things, but in short, your blind spot is the “thing” that you might not even notice you do that holds you back from success. On this episode of The Rural Mindset Podcast™, I talk about the difference between toxic positivity and growth mindset or empathy. I have found that these trendy terms get overused and used incorrectly all over social media. They often get mixed up with other terms and we need to work on educating so that the language used is streamlined for everyone.
Toxic positivity is when you give someone the silver lining or say "well at least" in a possible attempt to make them feel better. Essentially, you devalue and delegitimize their feelings. When you are showing toxic positivity towards yourself then you're saying "I'm fine" and you don't allow yourself to feel.
